a rocker in a church band!! ::

hahaha, last night was hilarious. i didn't laugh that much, but it was so amusing. i was surprised at the varied response and opinions and jokes i encountered.

my juniors brought me to this al fresco pub in marina pub opened by one of their internship bosses. hahaa.. it was chinese karaoke-styled on the inside and live band-ish (even though its one man show) on the outside. initially, i thought it was quite sleazy. bleh. blame it on the young nubile waitresses and chinese karaoke styled interior. but haha.. okay lah, nothing "exciting" was going around inside.

led by emotions, the "nuah" and "dislain" emotion for badly sung chinese songs, we headed outside with our crispy supreme chicken chunks and french fries and sat outside cheering this one man Fei-Xiang lookey alike guitarist cum singer which later we found out he's in the insurance line and is helping his friend the boss of the place.

After much cheering for him, the Fei-Xiang lookey alike guitarist cum singer popped over to join us for a toasting session and watch us play a bit of cards and left for the owner of the pub.

Anyway, for the first time in my life, i won dai di against a bunch of very good players!!!! finally. hahahaha.. my dai di skills weren't very good, but wahhahaa, i happen to have a series of very good cards at hand. whahaha.. what a cheap thrill.

no no, i didn't drink anything. was merely high on coke. wheras my juniors were happily downing graveyard and volka ribena and what have yous. well, i guess, next time you could rely on me to send you guys home after a drinking session. maybe i was thinking, i am too much of a control freak over my sensibility. which is quite ironic since i was already behaving like a mad woman sometimes. haha.. oh well.

also! haha.. i went up to sing a song thanks to my sabo-king juniors and my sporting(!!) nature!! erm. i guess i was really high on coke. hahah.. so nervous was i that i was staring at the lyrics all the while and the poor audience had to endure all that bleh moments. sorry lah.. but i must admit, it was quite fun. hahaha.. i was in a karaokey mood then.
:P :P :P :P

and was this guy!! who can really sing catonese songs despite growing up in san francisco!
haha... im the suaku there lah. but i was quite amazed! i wonder what is it like to be growing up chinese in US. anyway, turn out that he's on a contract in Singapore and needs to find a place to rent! woah.. biz opportunity. feel quite blessed cos i think God wants to tell me that money is still quite easy to earn in singapore. :P well, that remains to be seen. i think its opportunities are quite easily available in singapore. sorry.

yah, then after that the boss and the Fei-Xiang lookey alike guitarist cum singer sat down and talked to my juniors and us. asked hockey guy to perform his crugel. and they were quite amazed that we were from wushu. hahhaa.. anyway, the two older people were telling us some dirty jokes and we being young, hahaha.. pretended that we don't understand and acted blur. well! was quite amused to learn eventually that they both have to go church the next day. รถ well. funny people.

twas a hectic day, but it ended in a really memorable session. hahhaa.. its the company that counts i suppose.. and that really make up for my missed shooting stars session. its nice to look at lie in another perspective once in w while and maybe just let your hair down (which i did!) and just enjoy yourself.
