what time is it? ::

So glad I went for service this morning! :) Despite being late and lost my way, I still managed to make it to church just in time for the sermon itself! The pastor was doing his opening prayer when I crept my way into the sanctury! Yeay. Nevertheless, this morning's sermon was refreshing and indeed a "wake up call" with Pastor screaming into the mic. Pretty light hearted I must say... Not like the usual stuff, which has a uncanny ability to send me to lalaland sometimes.

The chapter is on Haggai, one of the minor prophets. Urging the people to rebuilt God's house. The book also depicted God's grace and mercy on building His house. i.e the government at that time also gave their full support to have the temple of the God of Israelites to be rebuilt. And whoever opposes it will face the wrath of the government. All in good timing - God's timing. Amazing right?

Pastor also shared an interesting anaedoct about himself while he was still a medical student, studying for his major practical exam. He emphasized on honouring God and how he will honour you back.

Apparently he was called to help out in this evangelistic event, a day before his exam. So rather unwillingly I think, he went for the evangelistic event. When he went back to his hostel, he saw the rest of the hostelites were already busy studying and felt quite discouraged for he thought he'll never be able to catch up. Anyway, he decided to draw lots to see what he will study. The lot fell on Thalassemia, so he studied it.

The next day, during his examinations, he was asked to draw lots, to see if he'll take an adult's case or paediatric case. Pastor was rather worried, cos he felt that a child will not be able to explain his medical history and will have to depend on the child's parents who in turn might not be able to explain their child's medical history fully and thus, there's a strong possibility that he might screw up his examinations. Anyway, when his examiner showed him his patient, his patient turned out to be a teenager. And guess what, the tested topic is Thalassemia!! Its too much of a coincidence ain't it? hmhmh... Of all topics. So Zun! :D
